Before heading off for JL's bachelorette party weekend, four of us stopped in at Dino's Pizza and Pasta in Astoria for a quick lunch. I pass by this place almost every day, but have never eaten there. (Actually, this goes for most of the places in my neighborhood. Why eat out so close to home, where I can whip up something no doubt cheaper and healthier in my kitchen?)
In any case, my veggie slice, a doughy square chock-a-bloc with olives, broccoli, peppers, onions, and canned mushrooms, was decent despite unremarkable cheese and sauce. The chicken roll that MH and JL split, which JL writes about here, proved less acceptable.
